In the video, Bobby Mook is discussing the Fear of Missing out as a matter which have always existed. He emphasizes the role of Technology, social media in particular. “Technology is not the reason we experience our fear of missing out. It is just a medium for it.” But most importantly, the speaker mentions the true grounds of this anxiety. People try to get the answers to essential questions about their significance in this life. Concluding, Bobby Mook looks at FOMO from a different (positive) perspective, so that the fear humans will never be able to overcome could be helping us instead of ruining our lives.

A recent video by a Dutch YouTube channel "Einzelgaenger" dives into the topic even deeper. In this video one can find a good number of examples of situations when we usually face with FOMO. It is quite thought-provoking, because the given cases are familiar to most of us. It reveals the futility of FOMO and informs the viewer that the events we fear to miss out are most likely to be frivolous and insignificant in a 10-year perspective.

Finally, I would recommend to watch a documentary about the Art of effortless living. It shows you how to establish a natural state of consciousness free of judgment and preconceptions. This might help with dealing with the stress caused by FOMO.
FOMO is an issue that i have not exactly colided with before, even as information this is the first time i have encoutered such an issue. As a not heavy user of social media and just general media sources, my life has not been "dictated" by it, this is what played a good role while reading this blog, the fact that this issue can influence society in a way it does in most cases is already new for me but the first video in this particular part of the blog, has brought a conceptually new idea for me, a positive approach/way this issue might influence someone is very, very interesting.
